My Detroit Lions, who had me hopeful all season, lost in a way I didn’t expect, and now I’m left without football to look forward to. I mean I still want Dan Campbell to be my life coach/alarm clock in the offseason. And no way on this green earth will I give in to watch the CFB Championship. Another loss I should have seen coming, TikTok—my go-to distraction for those long, unproductive hours—banned. The winter doldrums got me down bad.
So why not join a gym for the first time in yearsssss?! I have a great home gym, but there’s something about being around strangers, loud noises, sweaty smells, feeling like you’re always being watched…that reminds why I have my home gym. But it’s something, especially in the dead of winter when motivation is hard to come by.
I’m in podcast mode again, honestly, they’re a vibe. I gravitate to pop culture ones that keep me in the tea, but I’ve also been loving the ones that focus on mental health and healthier habits. Balance!
And TikTok is already back. So there’s that.
